Stuart and Meriel Cashman
Stuart & Meriel Cashman, with children Zoë (11) and Joel (9), serve at Immanuel Church, Brentford in London, UK. They planted the church in May 2016 and it is part of the International Presbyterian Church (IPC). Stuart was born and raised in Scotland, but moved to London after university 25 years ago, initially to make toothpaste (well, to work in Oral Care R&D). He and Meriel (a teacher, who retrained as an Educational Psychologist) met and married in the first church Stuart worked in, back in 2005. Zoë was born in St. Louis, where they lived while studying at Covenant Theological Seminary. Joel is a true native, born west London.
Brentford is a traditionally blue collar area which is rapidly changing as luxury apartments are built up. Almost other things, Stuart serves as chaplain to the local professional soccer team. Meriel keeps the family alive and functioning, as well aa being very involved in the church through kids work and ladies’ bible study. She also love knitting and crocheting. The family love her cooking, as wells the clothes she makes.
